When Did I start writing?
I began seriously writing at the age of twenty-one. Writing has definitely become
therapy for me. Around my second year in college I became very depressed
because of different situations that were occurring at that time. The only way I
knew how to deal with it was to eat myself happy causing me to gain close to one
hundred pounds. I suddenly became even more depressed and I called out to the
Lord for help. He did just that. I woke up the next morning with a certain urge to
write. So I began working on my first novella, Lord, Help Me. I believe God used
my writing to pull me out of my depression so that He could bless me with what He
had already predestined me to have. I'm thankful to God for that and His praises
will continually be in my mouth.
What motivates me to keep writing?
Ministry is what motivates me to write. Meeting the needs of people. I want people
to relate to the characters in my books and realize that everyone has fallen short
and its never too late to turn your life over to God. God can pull you out of any bad
situation and use it for His Glory.
